Holliston

Holliston is the most sheltered of the Metrowest communities and it shows with its quaint town center straight out of a movie set (and in fact used for some in the past!). Holliston is known for the Superette downtown shop providing reliable sandwiches and steak tips to go! Small shops such as Fiske’s General Store (a hidden gem for small toys/gifts), the Bird & Bear Collaborative, Gracefully Restored, the Wine House and the Candy Cottage make Holliston feel a little more like a small town in VT rather than one just outside the bustling corridors of Route 9 and the Massachusetts turnpike. Let’s not forget a Darlene & Company favorite- Coffee Haven- grab your favorite iced coffee (with coffee cubes!) while browsing books at the same time. Run right out the door to jump on Holliston’s widely popular Rail Trail – providing a gorgeous back drop to any walk, run or ride. Enjoy seasonal community events on the Rail Trail as well! Looking for a little fishing or swimming? Lake Winthrop is the place to be on those warm sunny days. Enjoy the lake from its sandy shores with the safety of town lifeguards! Around the holidays kick back and let Outpost Farm do all of the cooking or pick up a thanksgiving sandwich anytime of year!
